Mission Statement
WeiKem Soccer Camp will provide a unified, positive soccer experience where an individual can learn the sport and be on the same “level playing field” as others whether deaf, hearing impaired or hearing.
History
WeiKem was created by Charlie Weir and Paige Kemper Thompson. We are both soccer enthusiasts and we thought we could give back to the community by setting up a soccer camp for the deaf and hard of hearing…. this all started in 2011!
Paige participated in the United States Deaf Soccer Association (USADSA) in 2001 while Charlie was an athletic trainer for the USADSA men and women’s soccer team, traveled 5 times.
We want to continue to give back to the community by helping deaf and hard of hearing kids develop their soccer skills and reach their dreams.
