WeiKem Soccer Camp will provide a unified, positive soccer experience where an individual can learn the sport and be on the same “level playing field” as others whether deaf, hearing impaired or hearing.
WeiKem was created by Charlie Weir and Paige Kemper Thompson. We are both soccer enthusiasts and we thought we could give back to the community by setting up a soccer camp for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Paige participated in the United States Deaf Soccer Association (USADSA) in 2001 while Charlie was an athletic trainer for the USADSA men’s soccer team traveling to Taiwan for the 2009 Summer Deaflympics, still is an Athletic Trainer for USADSA.
We want to continue to give back to the community by helping deaf and hard of hearing kids develop their soccer skills and reach their dreams.
